Are You Ready for an Immersive Experience?

Exciting news!

Last week I said we had some exciting news and opportunities to share with you.

From late August through to October, we’ll be running more Immersive Coaching experiences.

Paul Gleeson and I caught up recently to address some of the questions you might have about these experiences.

You can watch and listen by clicking here, or read below.

What is it?
Immersive learning, for example, is like learning the Irish language in the Gaeltacht. You’re immersed in the environment that’s conducive to the learning of that language.

For coaching, the immersive environment is in nature as that’s where interference is minimised.

It could be swimming in the sea, climbing a mountain, or going for a hike. The point is to continue that break from the office environment, or the zoom screen.

We take the individual or the team/collective into a totally different space to connect with themselves and each other.

When we’re in nature, going for a sea swim for example, the stress we may have felt before can be shaken off. We feel alive, more vibrant and more like ourselves. At an emotional, psychological and physiological level, we’re more back to our source.

That ‘source’ may be that we can think more clearly, give a more rounded response to our business challenges.

We’re quicker to accept our challenges, and be ready to address them.

There’s plenty of publicly available research (Andrew Huberman for example) supporting that our brains work best for innovation when we’re outside, in motion and near water.

As Leaders and teams, you want to innovate and adapt to the market forces and challenges you face.

Immersive Coaching is an increasingly important tool to leverage in today’s business environment.

Who’s it for?

Individuals
– a break from the busyness of life and home, space to think freely and from that ‘elevated view’. We run ‘Open Days’ – click here to register your interest.

Teams
– exploring their vision of success, using the coaching experience in nature to clarify their truly meaningful objectives and how they’ll work together to achieve them.

Groups
– as part of a wider leadership development programme, or as a standalone experience akin to a retreat.

What does it address?
Honestly, whatever comes up for you. But here are some common themes:

  • Vision for success, individual/collective purpose, ways to optimise working relationships.
  • The issues that bubble beneath the surface, it addresses what’s often not said. It either unearths issues, or the issues dissolve themselves.
  • Breaks down barriers to genuine and authentic communication and conversations.

What are the outcomes?
We won’t force or engineer an outcome to promote this experience. The whole point of this is that we co-create your outcomes with you.
